Six Native Americans 2007 33.5"w x 53.5"h $1,400USD I found a fabric printed with six cacti native to the United States; Pediocactus knowltonii from New Mexico, Echinocactus texensis, Astrophytum asterias and Echinocereus pentalophus from Texas, Coryphantha vivipara from Canada to Texas, and Opuntia basilaris from Arizona. I hand dyed the fabric to give it more textural interest, and combined it with other interesting fabrics. The cactus portraits are set into dimensional windows. Machine pieced and machine quilted with rayon and metallic threads.
