Joe's Folly 2006 26"h x 31"w $850USD CQA President Joe Pepia challenged eight CQA members to create art quilts using a group of eleven very odd and mismatched fabrics he supplied. Other members of CQA scoffed at the idea - until they saw the results of the challenge two months later in eight very different quilts. Cotton print fabrics, silky polyester, brocade, voile, upholstery, damask linen. I dyed and/or discharged almost all of the fabrics supplied. (Some had been turquoise, lime green, white, hot pink, black, etc.) Machine pieced and free-motion quilted with rayon thread, yarn.
