Inspired by the poetic Chinese name of a chrysanthemum, this quilt depicts an ancient tree branch glistening with dew as the sun rises. Traditional Chinese chrysanthemum motifs are incorporated into the background quilting. Hand dyed and Bali batik cotton fabrics, rayon and cotton threads, glass drop beads, handmade cord. Machine pieced, appliqued, free-motion quilted and embellished.
